NIA partners have identified a number of “oven-ready” projects which will delivery a lasting legacy of looking after nature in the Greater Thames Marshes, long beyond the initial round of government funding.
We will build on this momentum and work more closely with the LNP to deliver the aims and objectives of the NIA by facilitating priority setting and project development, as well as monitoring our performance to help build an evidence base to support future decision making
Priority projects follow the below themes, identified in response to lessons learnt from previous experience and the key services nature provides in the Greater Thames:
- Flood defence
- Water quality
- Engaging communities in science
- Habitat creation and restoration
- Rural economy
- Natural capital

Finally, the NIA is all about collaboration – we need your input too! There are many ways in which you can be involved, please contact us for more information.
